TOOLS : You will need a outdoor thermometer & humidity gauage and our wet bulb chart to see if conditions are suitable for snow making. (sugested weather tool: Weathershack.com LA CROSSE TECHNOLOGY 308-1711BL)
Mount snow gun at least 48" off ground. The taller the pole the more "HANG TIME" the water has to freeze, this equals better snow quality! Make sure your mounting pole is strongly secured as snow gun is working at high pressure. Our snow guns will fit any 1"od diameter pole or purchase our Aluminum Tri-Pod!
MAKE sure any snowgun stand is VERY SECURE! Snowgun will knock the stand over if not secure.
In windy conditions blow snow with wind & lower gun height.
Keep air line as SHORT as possible! A 25' x 3/8" dia. air line is recommended. Wrapping the air and pressure washer lines together in foam pipe insulation makes a huge difference in preventing freeze ups in your air line. Keeping a spare air line ready is a good idea.
For runs 50' or longer, use a 5/8" or 3/4"dia. rubber garden hose with Our "Extended Run" connector set as you air line.
Use separate power circuits for your electric pressure washer & air compressor.
DO NOT set equipment up until your ready to make snow. Any water in the system will freeze and disable your equipment!
Turn on your water pump FIRST, then the air compressure to start making snow.
Once snow making has ended bring EVERYTHING indoors. Freezing may damage your snow gun and WILL DESTROY your pressure washer. Drain water from hoses (including air line), drain the air compressor and snow gun. Store everything in a heated area.
A complete Start-Up manual is included with your snowgun purchase.
